Does anyone know of a laptop battery extender.
My brother owns a Sony Vaio laptop with terrible battery life (45 minutes) even when it was newer and he needs it for classes and can’t (or won’t) plug it in(I recommended a long extension cord, he thought it would make him look ridiculous which to be honest it would) so if someone made an external battery pack that could be recharged like one for a cell phone that would be pretty sweet but I haven’t been able to find one.

Anti-gravity Xp series . its a large Li-ion battery with 19v and 12v dc outputs and it comes with lots of tips for different manufactures of laptops. Bonus, its designed to jump start anything.

I don’t know of one but if the battery is removable you could get a spare and switch them. It'd be a bit of a pain though.

unfortunately you would have to unscrew the entire back cover and probably disconnect some cables and he’s not very repair savvy to that wouldn’t work, thanks though

Hammerhead’s external battery is a novel idea I’ve never encountered before and seems like a great idea! The usual route is just to get a new battery from a remanufacturer

Ah well, some laptops have a quick release mechanism for the battery.

That might be overkill, but I will suggest it
